As tribute to the singular entertainer, Montegrappa has unveiled the third of their Icons series called the Frank Sinatra Collection. This is a collection befitting the line of the first two Icons pens honoring Muhammad Ali and Bruce Lee. The Frank Sinatra pens are designed to be a reminiscent of the performer’s class, signature details, and his legacy.

Montegrappa meticulously fashioned the pen to the last detail worthy to be called a Frank Sinatra memento. One look at the pin-striped cover and you’ll be reminded of how men dressed in the swing era. The barrel is topped with a picture of Sinatra’s favorite head wear, a bowler’s hat; while the pocket clip is a mini rectangular old-school microphone, like what they sang with in the sixties. The fountain pen sports a blue color to represent Sinatra’s killer blue eyes. The roller ball pen is accented with a splash of orange, taken from his famous quote, “Orange is the happiest color.” Finally, the pen is highlighted with silver and gold ribbons for each fountain and roller ball pen, emblazoned with the words “Ol’ Blue Eyes”. Now that’s a homage pen like no other.
These are a limited edition as the company is only making 1,915 fountain pens, and 1,915 roller ball pens. This number signifies the year Frank was born. Then, an addition 12 for each pen is also being made denoting Frank’s birthday on December 12.
Montegrappa has been making quality pens since 1912. This Italian heritage has gone through the trials of war, the threat of modernization, and ownership changes. But the company stands strong and timeless, even still operating in the same building it started at, in Bassano del Grappa, Northeast of Italy. Generations of leaders, influential people and celebrities show their fondness of the historic pen maker for their above-standard qualities and materials. Montegrappa uses the finest components to their bespoke products which also include wristwatches, leather accessories, cufflinks, and fine automobiles, among many things. Materials also vary from celluloid to precious stones, 18-karat gold, silver, platinum and titanium. Leaders signed treaties and turned over kingdoms with using Montegrappa pens; while celebrities affixed signatures only with a classy Montegrappa pen.
The company has reached global market with their numerous pen collections honoring modern day icons around the world. One of such is called the Cult collection which pays homage to Batman. This set includes a wristwatch and black cufflinks with a design that embodies the mysterious superhero.
