Montblanc 2012 Writers Edition Jonathan Swift Puts Luxury to Paper

In keeping up a ten-year-long tradition, one of the world’s most famous luxury brands will issu the Montblanc 2012 Writers Edition Jonathan Swift pen. The tradition, inaugurated in 1992, is to dedicate a special edition pen to one of the writers who has, over the years, become a part of the world literature heritage. This year’s pen is dedicated to the author of Gulliver and his heroic travels. It features a black lacquer barrel, decorated with multiply layered inlays, which echo the ropes that bound Gulliver when he first reached the island of Lilliput. The black resin cap is shaped just like the hero’s tricorn hat, while the platinum-plated clip showcases the staircase used by the Lilliput Mayor in his conversation with gigantic Gulliver. Meanwhile, the rhodium-plated 18K gold nib features the entire army of Lilliput marching between Gulliver’s leg. You may purchase your own limited edition fountain pen, rollerball, ballpoint or mechanical pen in selected boutiques worldwide, starting this August.
